Overview

This course is designed to reduce over-commitment and the resulting stress and inefficiencies by teaching people:

• to make effective requests and commitments the first time
• how to say ‘no’ to requests they know they can’t meet while changing or re-negotiating the agreement for a new time frame or action that can be accomplished
• to confront difficult issues and discuss mistakes quickly so managers and others will have a conversation as soon as the issue is recognized
• to take 100% responsibility for their work– “see it, know it, take action” without waiting for others
