Overview

The most formidable obstacle to change is our own resistance. The familiar phrase “because we’ve always done it this way” can smother the most well intended improvement effort. There is no technique in the Lean toolbox more powerful than the Value Stream Map. This approach helps teams understand the reality of how work is really done, opposed to how we think it is done, or should be done. Value Stream Mapping helps to quantify, prioritize, and eliminate obstacles to improvement. In this hands-on workshop we’ll cover a variety of technology-oriented processes, including product development, infrastructure and operations, outsourcing, and IT services management.
